Wooden Heart Charm Kid’s Woodworking Project

Wooden Heart CharmSaturday, (or was it Sunday?) afternoon, just before it was time to come in for showers and supper, my daughter proclaimed that she wanted to do a wood-working project.  “What?! Now?!” was my inner response.  But Bill willingly obliged.  So as I headed up the stairs to cook up some chicken and caramelized onion quesadillas, they went to stirring around in the shop.  Just a little while later, when everyone came in for dinner, Hunter came in showing off her latest woodworking project.  She told her daddy she wants to be a carpenter when she grows up.  Thankfully she likes to paint the wood too.  I can already think of some custom orders for her to build and shabby chic for me.  When she’s old enough to use the saw, you’d better look out.  We’ll be in business!  For now she mostly designs and sands.

A creative lifestyle and DIY blogger, I make something in every spare moment. Sewing, knitting, baking, crafting, and anything else requiring thoughtful creativity or that will make my family happy top the list of the things I like to do.
